The Upside Down World in Zakopane
The Upside Down House in Zakopane, located near Krupówki at Stanisława Staszica 14, is an attraction that can be easily reached by following the signs. It’s open all year round and you’ll be surprised as soon as you arrive: the house stands on its roof, which makes it stand out from the other buildings.
This unique structure allows for some unusual fun and the chance to experience something new. It’s designed to make you feel the effects of gravity in a different way, and it’s slightly tilted, making it even harder to keep your balance. The interior of the house has been carefully designed to create a confusing maze. Be careful when navigating it, as the 180-degree turns and angles can throw off your natural orientation.

The Floor Above Your Head
You’ll be amazed to experience the world upside down when you enter the Upside Down House. Instead of walking on the floor, you walk on the ceiling! You’ll start your tour on the first floor, which is the ground floor in this place, and the stairs leading down to the ground floor are the only normal and simple thing in this house.
You’ll find the usual furniture such as a bed, chairs, a fireplace, a dressing table, a kitchen with a refrigerator and appliances all hanging from the ceiling – floor. Not to mention the pictures on the walls, carpets and other decorations are also upside down.
You’ll even find curtains and drapes on the windows, but of course they’re hanging from the ceiling too. This house is an attraction for both children and adults, giving them the feeling that the world really is upside down.
