Find the Best Tattoo Artist in Krakow Before You Visit One

If you’re planning on getting a tattoo and you want the best results, you’ve got to invest some time and energy into finding a reliable tattoo artist. How do you go about it in Kraków? I’ve got five helpful tips for you. And I know something about it because I spent so much time researching tattoo artists in my own city. Here are few basic tips:

  1. Find a tattoo style or motif that you like. If you can determine your preferred aesthetic, it’ll be easier to find a tattoo artist that vibes with your taste.
  2. Ask your inked friends for recommendations or browse Facebook discussion groups focused on tattoos. Based on this, select 2-3 tattoo studios whose ink you can see on your own skin.
  3. Follow the chosen tattoo studios on social media. Most studios happily share their portfolio on Faebook and Instagram. Pay attention to available designs and pictures of finished tattoos.
  4. Look for more opinions about the chosen studios. You can extend your search to Google My Business cards and user reviews on the tattoo studios’ Facebook profiles. The more positive comments and stars, the better your chances of achieving your mission!
  5. If you’ve chosen a specific tattoo studio, get in direct contact with your chosen artist. Based on your communication, try to establish the design of your future tattoo, the duration of the session, a convenient appointment time, and the total cost.

Remember, if you want a great tattoo, do your homework. It’s worth to say that the time you spend researching now will pay off in the long run. A well-planned tattoo from a skilled artist is something you’ll be proud to show off for the rest of your life. So go ahead and start your search.

Presenting Krakow’s Top Tattoo Artists

Krakow is a city of art. Kraków is an artistic wonderland, even when it comes to the art on our bodies. Tattoo Artists, or Artyści Tatuażu (this is how we call them in Poland), from this city are known for their precision, talent, and skills. If our bodies are canvases, why not adorn them with remarkable works of art that will be a part of us forever?

Kult Tattoo Fest from Krakow

Kult Tattoo Fest from Krakow

Start your journey with the best (I think). And the best in my opinion is Kult Tattoo Fest. I can tell you that it’s a real talent forge. Just mentioning names like Szymon, Kasia, Aleksandra, Anka, and Lidia should make you realize this is the place to be. They offer more than just tattoos – professionalism, experience, great ambiance, and designer interiors are just some of the other perks.

Kult Tattoo Fest and the Artists working there value individuality, and that’s exactly what they offer. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach here. Each customer receives equal dedication and talent, turning your visions into reality. And you can pick an artist that matches your style, because, as we all know, not every style suits everyone.

For instance (according to the research I did):

  • Szymon specializes in abstract and experimental styles.
  • Kasia is an expert in linework.
  • Aleksandra excels in blackwork.
  • Anna is unrivaled in dotwork.
  • Lidia focuses on minimalist tattoos embellished with watercolor.

Make Art Tattoo – Krakow

Make Art Tattoo – Krakow

Make Art Tattoo studio has been operating in Krakow since 2014. The artists here, or Artyści with a capital „A”, see their profession as more than a job; it’s their passion and life. The studio currently hosts an 8-person team including talents such as Daria, Łukasz, and Kaja. If you decide to get a tattoo at Make Art Tattoo, you’ll have the opportunity to create a design based on your unique idea. Just gather your inspirations and submit them to the chosen artist.

Let’s meet these Krakow’s Tattoo artists:

  • Daria, also known as HALODARIA, has been part of the Make Art Tattoo team since 2015, primarily focusing on realistic tattoos. Her forte is grayscale, though she occasionally deviates from the norm to create colorful tattoos.
  • Łukasz is the life of the party who ensures a positive atmosphere in the studio. His realism stunned the jury of Tattoo Days 2020, landing him on the podium. If you’re consdering a portrait that perfectly captures the essence of the subject, Franek is an obvious choice.
  • Kaja, where sharpness mingles with sweetness, will invite you into a world of dark, dreamlike patterns. She’s a fan of dotwork, blackwork, and as already mentioned – completely dark style.

So, there you have it. If you want to find the best tattoo artists in Kraków, now you know where to start.

Zajawa Studio – Tattoo Artists

Zajawa Studio – Tattoo Artists

The first one is Zajawa, a place humming with passion for the art of tattooing. If you need to know anything about this place, it’s that it was founded by the very same enthusiasts who organized Poland’s popular tattoo conventions.

The first convention took place in Gdańsk back in 2009, and it has been an annual event in several major Polish cities since then, including Wrocław, Katowice, Poznań, and Łódź.

The portfolio of Zajawa features the talents of Marta and Karolina. I believe these two women’s strong personalities, beautiful souls, and immense talent make them stand out. Marta is famous for her perfectly replicated portraits in shades of grey and black.

And believe me when I say, her colorful compositions are just as impressive, a testament to her strong ties with Kraków’s ASP (Fine Arts Academy in Poland). On the other hand, Karolina brings a feminine touch to her naturalistic style, often intertwining her designs with floral motifs. Don’t let her main theme fool you though, she loves to surprise with strong accents.

Nie Po Drodze Tattoo – Not So Ordinary Tattoo Artists in Kraków

Nie Po Drodze Tattoo

In the picturesque part of Kraków known as Podgórze, there is a unique studio called Nie Po Drodze Tattoo. Being there, you need to know that the artists specialize in realistic, neo-traditional, graphic, traditional tattoos, and even dotwork.

One of the most renowned artists in this Kraków studio is Weronika, better known as Kawarin. This young woman already amazes with her sensitivity and the originality of her work. Kawarin specializes in linework, dotwork, and blackwork. However, if you fancy a colored tattoo, she’d be more than willing to give that a go. I think it’s worthg mentioning that Weronika draws a lot of inspiration from Slavic culture and animal and floral motifs.

The Enigmatic DarkTimes Tattoo & Art Gallery

DarkTimes Tattoo & Art Gallery

Then we have Dark Times. Once you’ve had a look at their artists’ portfolios, which I must say, include some absolute gems, I can tell you’ll be hooked.

The founder of this studio, Victor hails from Uruguay. After spending some time in Spain, he fell in love with Kraków, deciding to set up his studio here and invite the best of the best. Victor specializes in portrait tattoos and realism.

He has a thing for biotechnical motifs with surrealist accents, although he is no stranger to all sorts of experiments. Victor embarked on his tattoo journey in 1998, and we can safely call him a tattoo master now.
